Connecting Me to My First Research Job
Alum, NDMU Class of 2018
Biology, Chemistry
I got my first research experience at Notre Dame working in the biology department. I can credit the University with connecting me to the lab I’m going to be working in this year. I first started working in [the] lab through NDMU’s Sister Alma program…Now, I’m looking forward to completing some of the research projects I’ve been working on over the past year and hopefully getting my work published. What’s Next for Rebecca: Johns Hopkins University Department of Neuroscience, Research Assistant

Alum, NDMU Class of 2022

"The Sr. Alma program had been on my radar ever since I applied to Notre Dame. It was great to get in-person experience, speak with doctors, work on projects, and also have my own projects. It has led to countless other opportunities for me moving forward.” – Isabella Dallasta '22, a 2021-22 Sr. Alma Science Year Scholar

Why I Chose NDMU
Student, NDMU Class of 2023
Biology
“I think Catholic social teaching is a value that is world renowned. Notre Dame is my mom’s alma mater, and once I saw the academic rigor I knew I wanted to apply as well. I got into the honors program, received a presidential scholarship and there’s been a world of opportunities ever since.”

Notre Dame fostered my abilities to research, network, and connect with others—skills I had not had an opportunity to develop before. I’m also grateful for the chance to meet new people and experience new cultures.
