Designed to Meet Industry Standards
Guided by the certification requirements of the Society of Actuaries (SOA), our Actuarial Science certificate program prepares graduates for the Introductory Financial Mathematics and Probability exams, and also satisfies the SOA Validation by Educational Experience specifications.
Graduates will be qualified to become Associates of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
Additional Learning Outcomes
Graduates will develop an operational and analytical understanding of:
- finance and financial literacy;
- operation of insurances;
- economic theory; and
- the functioning of insurance and financial markets in private and government sectors.
Our program prepares graduates to model real-world problems mathematically, interpret results properly, and make recommendations for resolution based on best practices. Equally important, our program emphasizes strong communication and the ability to clearly explain analysis and recommendations to any audience.
